CNPC Ningxia Petrochemical Company said that in order to solve the problem of UAV threat in oil depot, traditional monitoring means were adopted, mainly relying on video surveillance and radar system, and the following problems existed in the face of modern UAV technology:

Limited monitoring range

Due to the limitation of the field of view Angle and distance, the UAV is difficult to capture in the blind area of sight.

Weak recognition ability

Traditional methods cannot accurately identify the type, payload and flight intent of a drone.

Slow response

Traditional means cannot detect and take corresponding countermeasures in time, which increases security risks.

 

The state has requirements

In the "Petroleum and Petrochemical System security anti-terrorism prevention requirements Part 1: Oil and Gas Field Enterprises" (GA 1551.1-2019), it is clearly required that the anti-UAV defense system in the petroleum and petrochemical industry must meet the following three requirements:

1. Signal transmission power should be less than or equal to 10mw;

2. The system should be able to work continuously for 24 hours without personnel on duty;

3. The system shall obtain the riot control certificate recognized by the state.
